Teaching

I started my journey as a flamenco dance teacher at the age of 23 and I’m doing it still to this day. It was something that suited me, because I myself had only been taught through direct face-to-face teaching. I liked achieving the precision of a movement and unity of a group and hear the praise when the whole group moves as one person. It was only at the age of 25 when I experienced what is creating dance and impovisation at the Viljandi Culture Academy of University of Tartu and got familiar with other teaching methods. Re-orienting myself was hard. Actually it was frighteningly hard, but very developing and necessary to be more versatile as a teacher. In addition, being involved in two fields of art (painting and dance), I am looking for solutions on how to shape these two into one lesson that develops creativity and supports each other.
